Job summary

MetLife in India is seeking a professional to support capital markets operations, focusing on pricing data, reconciliations, and data quality control across regional securities. The role involves collaborating with pricing vendors, front office, and downstream teams to ensure accurate pricing and timely reporting.

The candidate will perform daily data quality checks, conduct monthly price validation, and furnish audit-ready documentation for SOX and controls.

Job description

• Possess a thorough understanding of capital markets, including equities, bonds, derivatives, and other financial instruments.


• Should have knowledge of trade life cycle.


• Understanding the reconciliation dynamics and perform reconciliation activities.


• Recognize inefficiencies to streamline and improve reconciliation processes and report to management.


• Responsible for identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues reported by end users.


• Perform daily data quality checks on regional securities.


• Conduct monthly regional price validation reviews.


• Identify and document root causes of pricing gaps or data quality issues.


• Support testing activities for Pricing within MDM and other systems, as required.


• Monitor and respond to pricing inquiries and requests received through shared inboxes and distribution groups.


• Provide supporting documentation and evidence for audit, SOX, and control‑related requests.


• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve pricing issues escalated by end users or downstream consumers.


• Collaborate with different teams including Pricing Vendors, Front Office and downstream consumers to investigate and resolve data quality and pricing issues.


• Be able to consolidate data in a timely manner for Reporting period presentation.
