Job summary

MetLife is seeking an Investment Finance professional to support the accounting, reporting, and analysis of the investment portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant outputs across GAAP and STAT frameworks.

The function handles end-to-end processes including data aggregation, reconciliations, and reporting, while supporting regulatory requirements and disclosures. The role operates in a time-sensitive, high-control environment and leverages automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification required.
• Strong understanding of finance operations and control requirements.
• Experience with reconciliations, close processes, and GAAP/STAT reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute system-based reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of balance.
• Prepare daily / monthly / quarterly reconciliations and ensure timely sign-off.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciling items and variances within defined timelines.

Job description

Role position: Investment Finance supports the accounting, reporting, and analysis of the investment portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial outputs across GAAP and STAT frameworks.

• Manages end-of-the-end processes including data aggregation, accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
• Supports regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, RBC) and financial disclosures
• Provides variance analysis and insights for leadership decision-making

The function operates in a time-sensitive, high-control environment and is increasingly leveraging automation and AI to reduce manual effort, enhance accuracy, and improve efficiency

Responsibilities

• Execute system-based reconciliations (e.g., ReconNet matching) to ensure completeness and accuracy of balance
• Prepare daily / monthly / quarterly reconciliations and ensure timely sign-off
• Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciling items and variances within defined timelines

Education - CA/CPA

Skills

• Strong understanding of finance operations processes and control requirements
• Advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power automate and cloud platforms to support scalable operations.
• Analytical problem-solving and issue resolution
• Process governance, compliance, and risk awareness
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
• Working knowledge of ERP platforms and reporting tools
• Continuous improvement mindset with focus on standardization and efficiency
• Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume operational environment
