About the Role

As a Senior Software Dev Engineer Tester you will conduct thorough, hands‑on testing to ensure the functionality and quality of our deliverables, working closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.
As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions supporting Disability & Absence products that provide income protection to millions of employees across the United States. You will collaborate closely with Scrum Lead, Product Owner, and ART Leadership, impacting every part of the system and iterating to deliver the best for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineers to write efficient test automation code using coding standards and best practices; write manual tests where automation is not supported.
- Assist in Software Architectural Design.
- Develop, enhance and document automated testing framework, tools, and dashboards.
- Lead planning and documentation of test strategies and acceptance criteria based on customer needs.
- Lead and participate in test execution (new builds and regression), test suite grooming, analyze reports, troubleshoot & investigate failures; perform peer reviews of automation codebase.
- Investigate, diagnose and repair problems, testing bugs, and manage bug reports.
- Understand business processes at the feature level to proactively look for ways to innovate and improve the testing process for efficiencies.

Education
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Information Systems.
Experience
5 to 6 years of related work experience delivering large, complex projects with demonstrated technical leadership.
Technical Skills (Required)
- 7+ years in related work experience successfully delivered on large, complex projects, with technical leadership.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, software development methodologies, and quality processes.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience in Test‑First practices (TDD) and Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD).
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Experience with Tosca and Azure.
Technical Skills (Preferred)
- Disability product experience or Insurance industry knowledge.
- Experience with DevSecOps processes/tools and AI/Co‑Pilot.
- Experience testing Web, Mobile, Data‑Intensive and Responsive Web Design applications.
- Experience working in cross‑functional, multi‑location teams.
- Experience with SAFe, Agile methodology, tools, and Agile integration with Waterfall.
