  • Support payroll, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
  • Draft financial documentation for grants and consultancy contracts.
  • Contribute to internal MIS and reporting clarity.
  • Collaborate across teams for timely financial inputs.

Finance Officer

Job Designation : Finance Officer Reporting to : SeniorFinance Officer Job Location : NewDelhi

Purpose

We are looking for a self-driven Finance Officer who can take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring nothing gets stuck at the top by becoming a dependable middle layer within the team. The Finance Officer will drive execution, bring clarity to ambiguity, and lead through trust and example.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, committed to excellence, and eager to grow into a future leadership position. You will support a high-performance finance function that underpins CEEW’s mission in the energy and environment space.

Job Duties and Accountabilities
  • Support the preparationand monitoring of project budgets.
  • Assist in donor fundtracking, grant utilisation, and reporting
  • Ensure timely andaccurate statutory compliance (FCRA, GST, TDS, etc.)
  • Assist in payrollprocessing, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate across teamsto ensure timely financial inputs.
  • Draft, review, andsupport financial documentation for grants and consultancy contracts.
  • Build clarity andconsistency in internal reports and MIS.
  • Identify bottlenecks andproactively solve problems before escalation
  • Create systems andprocesses where they don’t yet exist.
  • Contribute toautomation, migration, and digital improvement efforts.
  • Handle data managementin tools like Zoho Books, Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Participate in internalaudits and respond to audit queries
  • Bring structure toambiguity and support clean, efficient execution
  • Keeping a close watch onthe Council’s statutory compliance.
  • Close coordination withthe HR and Admin team related to financial matters.
  • All other supportingtasks
Selection Criteria

EducationalBackground

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, orrelated field (essential)
  • Professional qualifications (CA Inter, M. Com, or MBAFinance) preferred.

Experience

  • 2 -5 years of relevant experience, preferably in anon-profit, CSR, or development sector context
  • Experience handling donorcompliance, statutory filings, and internal processes.
  • Exposure to Zoho Books,Tally, or similar systems.

TechnicalSkills

  • Strong command of Excel, Google Sheets, PPT’sand Storytelling tools.
  • Working knowledge of GST, TDS, FCRA, and IncomeTax.
  • Comfortable creating financial reports andPowerPoint summaries for decision-makers.
  • Self-driven with a strong senseof responsibility
  • Go-getter mindset withhigh ownership of work
  • Able to lead by exampleand work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to turn vague asksinto structured outputs
