Job summary

ApplyMint, a fast-growing healthtech startup, seeks a Finance Lead in Mumbai to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You will partner with founders to drive data-driven decisions and manage vendor, audit, and treasury functions in a rapidly scaling environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strategic insight, and strong cross-functional collaboration with teams across sales, operations, and product. BCom with 3+ years in corporate finance is required, MCom preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel and financial modelling.
• Experience with CRM tools or related software is preferred.
• Stay updated on taxation and regulatory rules applicable to startups.
• Experience in startups is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collate revenues from all sources and maintain revenue data timely.
• Accurately collate expenses and ensure invoices and approvals are in place.
• Prepare and maintain P&L and analyze financial performance.
• Publish monthly MIS reports for management and investors.

Job description

Position: Finance Lead

We are a YCombinator, Sequoia & GFC-funded startup building digital solutions for women with chronic health conditions in India. Our mission is to combine the power of medicine, nutrition and telehealth to treat chronic conditions. We've started by treating PCOS, a chronic condition that affects 100 million women in India alone.

Here, you will be working directly with a world-class team (McKinsey, UnitedHealth, GlaxoSmithKline, Accenture, Wharton alumni) to improve lives for millions of women. Most of all, you will be part of a mission-driven company that believes in providing equal access to high-quality healthcare for those traditionally underserved. As a Finance Lead, you will be expected represent the company’s financial statements in the most accurate manner for taking appropriate marketing decisions and understanding the P&L status of the organisation

Responsibilities:

MIS (Internal & External)

1. Collate the incoming revenues through all sources namely sales, renewals, supplement sales, Ecommerce sales and keep the revenue data update on a timely basis.
2. Collate all the expenses and outgoings in an organised manner.
3. Ensure that all expenses/outgoings are properly supported by invoices and necessary approvals.
4. Prepare and maintain Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts and analyze financial performance.
5. Prepare and publish MIS reports for management, founders, investors and other stakeholders to support decision making.

Payments & Compliances

1. Ensure timely payouts to Doctors/Vendors.
2. Ensure timely Statutory payments like TDS, PF, PT and filing of GST /TDS returns etc.
3. Verify the revenues earned by Sales and Services team for disbursing their incentives.
4. Advise and ensure legal compliances with respect to Company's business.

Budgeting and Forecasting

1. Periodically prepare Revenue and Expenses estimates and assist in Budgeting and forecasting.
2. Conduct Revenue and cost analysis and advise on burn reduction and business process efficiencies.

Audits

1. SPOC for internal and External audits and ensure correctness of data at all times.

Dashboards

1. Publish monthly Dashboards for investors founders and marketing team’s review and decision making.

Vendor & Inventory Management

1. Coordinate with vendors on stock procurement, inventory replenishment, invoice verification, account reconciliations, payment follow-ups, and resolution of inventory and operational issues.
2. Manage inventory records, monitor stock movements, perform periodic inventory reconciliations, and ensure accurate inventory reporting.

Miscellaneous

1. SPOC for all Bank related.
2. Coordinate with external accounting firm, and CA firm.
3. Will be incharge for all Finance related and such other tasks assigned by the founders.

Qualifications:

• BCom is mandatory. MCom will be preferred
• At least 3 of experience corporate experience
• Proficient in Excel, knowledge of CRM tools
• Keeping abreast of all relevant taxation related rules
• Experience of working in startups would be preferred
