Role Purpose
Aspirare Communications Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced Finance Head to take complete ownership of the company's Finance & Accounts function, including books of accounts, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, banking, cash flow, budgeting, MIS, receivables, payables, audits and financial controls.
The ideal candidate should be hands‑on, capable of independently managing the finance function and ensuring that the company's books, financials and statutory compliances are accurate, timely and audit‑ready.
Experience in Telecom, ISP, Broadband, IT/ITES, Network Infrastructure or Technology businesses will be strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete Finance & Accounting Ownership
- Take overall responsibility for the company's Finance & Accounts function.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of books of accounts.
- Supervise General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, fixed assets and bank accounting.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual closing of accounts.
- Prepare/review P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
- Ensure proper accounting policies and documentation are followed.
- Review accounting entries and ensure there are no material errors or unreconciled balances.
2. Telecom / ISP Revenue & Billing
- Monitor customer billing and revenue accounting.
- Reconcile billing system/customer invoices with accounting records.
- Ensure revenue is completely and correctly recorded.
- Review customer contracts, tariffs, recurring charges, installation charges and other revenue streams.
- Monitor revenue leakage and billing discrepancies.
- Work closely with Operations/Technical and Commercial teams on billing and revenue reconciliation.
- Establish strong controls over revenue recognition and customer collections.

3. Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Take ownership of customer outstanding and ageing.
- Monitor DSO, overdue receivables and collection efficiency.
- Conduct regular ageing reviews with the sales/commercial team.
- Establish credit limits and payment terms.
- Track major customer receivables and escalate high‑risk accounts.
- Ensure timely receipt accounting and customer ledger reconciliation.
- Drive reduction in overdue outstanding.
4. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
- Supervise vendor invoice processing and payments.
- Ensure proper verification and approval before payments.
- Maintain vendor reconciliations.
- Manage vendor ageing and payment schedules.
- Ensure TDS deductions and other applicable statutory deductions are correctly accounted for.
- Work with procurement and network/technical teams to control vendor costs.
5. GST, TDS & Taxation
- Ensure timely and accurate GST compliance, including reconciliation of input tax credit and output tax.
- Oversee GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST requirements.
- Ensure TDS deduction, payment and return compliance.
- Coordinate income‑tax compliance and assessments with consultants.
- Review tax reconciliations and identify potential exposures.
- Monitor changes in taxation applicable to the business.
6. Banking & Treasury
- Manage day-to-day banking relationships.
- Monitor bank balances and liquidity.
- Prepare weekly/monthly cash‑flow forecasts.
- Plan vendor, statutory and other payments.
- Manage working capital.
- Monitor loans, overdrafts, CC limits, bank guarantees and other banking facilities, where applicable.
- Prepare and review Bank Reconciliation Statements.
7. Financial Planning & MIS
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor Actual vs Budget.
- Prepare monthly MIS for management.
- Analyse revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, operating expenses and cash flow.
- Prepare business‑unit/customer/project profitability analysis where applicable.
- Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide management with actionable financial insights.
8. Cost Control
- Monitor network/infrastructure operating expenses.
- Analyse bandwidth, data centre, leased‑line, tower/site, equipment, maintenance and other network‑related costs.
- Review major vendor contracts from a financial perspective.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Track CAPEX and OPEX separately.
9. Audit & Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate statutory audit, tax audit and internal audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Maintain proper financial records and audit trails.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, bankers and other professional advisors.
10. Internal Controls & Financial Governance
- Establish and strengthen finance SOPs and approval processes.
- Implement maker‑checker controls for accounting and payments.
- Ensure proper segregation of duties.
- Strengthen controls over revenue, collections, procurement, expenses and payments.
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend corrective measures.
11. Team Management
- Lead and manage the Accounts/Finance team.
- Allocate responsibilities and establish timelines.
- Review team output for accuracy and completeness.
- Train team members on accounting, taxation and internal processes.
- Build a disciplined, process‑driven finance function.
12. Management Support
- Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team.
- Provide financial inputs for pricing, contracts, investments and expansion decisions.
- Evaluate financial viability of new projects/business opportunities.
- Support commercial negotiations with customers and vendors.
- Highlight financial risks and opportunities to management.

Candidate Profile
Education
- CA preferred, particularly for a true Finance Head role.
- Alternatively, CMA / M.Com / MBA Finance / B.Com with strong hands‑on experience may be considered depending on the size and complexity of the business.
Experience
- Ideally 1015 years of relevant Finance & Accounts experience.
- At least 3–5 years in a Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager / Head of Finance / equivalent leadership position.
- Experience managing the complete accounting cycle through finalisation is essential.
- Experience in Telecom / ISP / Broadband / IT / Technology / Infrastructure is highly desirable.
