ROLE SUMMARY
ORNET Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and hands‑on Accounts Manager who can independently manage the complete accounting and financial operations of the organization. The candidate must have practical experience in Complete Account Finalization, GST, TDS, Statutory Compliance, Audit Coordination and Income Tax Return Filing in coordination with CA. This role requires someone who can not only maintain accounts, but also understand government billing and collections, cash flow, vendor payments, employee advances, and provide accurate financial MIS to management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete Accounts & Finalization
- Independently manage books of accounts up to finalization.
- Prepare Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closing of accounts.
- Complete ledger scrutiny and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate accounting entries in Tally / ERP.
- Coordinate with CA for year-end finalization and audit.
- Income Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Hands‑on experience in preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns in coordination with CA.
- Prepare all schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents required for ITR.
- Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment and return filing.
- Manage GST compliance including:
- GST invoices
- GSTR-1
- GSTR-3B
- GST reconciliation
- Input Tax Credit reconciliation
- GST Notice
- Coordinate for tax audit, statutory audit and income‑tax related requirements.
- Ensure all statutory due dates are complied with.
- Government Project Accounting
- ORNET works extensively with Municipal Corporations, Government Departments and Public Authorities.
- The candidate will be responsible for:
- Project-wise billing and invoice tracking.
- Monitoring bills submitted to government clients.
- Tracking outstanding payments and ageing.
- Coordinating with project, sales and management teams for collections.
- Maintaining records of deductions, retention amounts, security deposits and taxes.
- Tracking EMD, Security Deposit, Performance Guarantee and Bank Guarantee wherever applicable.
- Ensuring proper accounting of work orders, agreements and client payments.
- Accounts Receivable & Collection Monitoring
- Maintain client‑wise outstanding statement.
- Prepare ageing analysis of receivables.
- Track long‑pending government payments.
- Follow up internally with Sales / Project teams for collection status.
- Provide weekly collection MIS to management.
- Reconcile client ledger with payments received and deductions.
- Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
- Verify vendor bills and supporting documents.
- Process payments as per approvals.
- Maintain vendor‑wise ledger and reconciliation.
- Track outstanding vendor liabilities.
- Ensure correct TDS/GST treatment of vendor payments.
- Manage consultant, freelancer and service‑provider payments.
- Project-wise Accounting & Profitability
- ORNET operates multiple projects simultaneously across different cities and states.
- The Accounts Manager should:
- Maintain project‑wise income and expense records.
- Track project budgets versus actual expenses.
- Monitor manpower, travel, stay, vendor and operational expenses.
- Prepare project‑wise profitability reports.
- Identify cost overruns and immediately highlight them to management.
- RB CHANAKYA / Election Project Accounts
- The candidate will also support accounting for ORNETs Election Management Division CHANAKYA.
- Responsibilities include:
- Client‑wise/project‑wise accounting.
- Field team advances and settlements.
- Vendor and freelancer payments.
- Travel and operational expense tracking.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of all political/election‑related financial information.
- Bank & Cash Management
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Monitor bank balances and cash flow.
- Plan payments based on funds availability and priorities.
- Manage online banking transactions as per authorization.
- Track Fixed Deposits / Debt Fund investments / short‑term fund parking wherever assigned.
- Prepare fund requirement and cash‑flow statements.
- Employee Advances & Expense Management
- Maintain employee advance accounts.
- Monitor travel advances and field expenses.
- Ensure timely settlement of advances.
- Verify expense claims and supporting documents.
- Follow up for long‑pending settlements.
- Payroll & Statutory Coordination
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with HR.
- Verify salary statements before processing.
- Coordinate PF, ESIC, Professional Tax and other applicable statutory payments.
- Maintain employee‑related financial records and reconciliations.
- Audit & Documentation
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountant, auditors and consultants.
- Keep all financial records audit‑ready.
- Provide required ledgers, vouchers, invoices, bank statements and supporting documents.
- Resolve audit queries within timelines.
- Maintain proper physical and digital financial documentation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have 5 to 10 years of hands‑on experience in Accounts & Finance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance
- CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates may be preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Understanding of GST and Income Tax portals
- Good accounting and reconciliation skills

IMPORTANT ROLE EXPECTATION
This position is for a person who can own the complete Accounts & Finance function, not merely maintain accounting entries. The ideal candidate should be capable of taking the companys books from daily accounting to final Balance Sheet, statutory compliance, taxation and Income Tax Return filing with the CA, while simultaneously giving management a clear financial picture for decision‑making.
