Job summary

Anko GCC, the global capability centre for Kmart Group Australia, is seeking a senior finance leader based in Bengaluru to establish governance, controls, and financial processes in a fast-evolving international business. You will operate independently in ambiguous environments, creating structure where precedent is scarce.

The role requires strong expertise in accounting, IFRS, ERP systems, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with a focus on cross-border collaboration and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in accounting, controllership, IFRS, ERP systems, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and business performance analysis.
• Ability to assess accounting treatments, recommend policy improvements, and provide strategic financial guidance.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and cross-border communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial controls and compliance.
• Oversee receivables/payables and KPI monitoring, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own corporate governance and secretarial finance responsibilities across multiple geographies.

Purpose of the Role

• Senior finance leader responsible for establishing governance, controls, and financial processes in a fast-evolving international business.
• Expected to operate independently in an ambiguous environment and create structure where limited precedent exists.

Key Requirements

• Strong expertise in accounting, controllership, IFRS, ERP systems, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business performance analysis.
• Ability to assess accounting treatments, recommend policy improvements, and provide strategic financial guidance.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, conflict resolution, and cross-border communication skills.
• Comfortable working autonomously across multiple geographies and time zones.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven finance leadership experience with strong accounting and controlling capability.
• Industry background can be flexible (retail, sourcing, shared services, product, services, startups).
• International exposure preferred, especially across Southeast Asia, but not mandatory.
• Agile, hands-on, entrepreneurial, and able to thrive in ambiguity.
• Able to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Role Scope

• Lead monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial controls, compliance, receivables/payables, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own agreement reviews, corporate governance, and corporate-secretary related finance responsibilities.
