Job summary

Anko Sourcing, the exclusive direct sourcing arm of Kmart Group, seeks a motivated Finance Intern to support the Finance team in accounting operations, compliance, reporting and process improvements in a fast‑paced multinational environment.

You will gain hands‑on exposure to AP, AR, GL, month‑end close, statutory compliance, audits, and finance transformation projects, working closely with the Accounting Lead and Senior Accountant to develop practical skills and ownership of assigned tasks.

• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Support special projects assigned by the Finance Manager.

This role offers hands‑on exposure to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), month‑end close activities, statutory compliance, audits, and finance transformation projects.

The intern will work closely with the Accounting Lead, and Senior Accountant to gain practical experience in a fast‑paced multinational finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Assist in Accounts Payable processing and vendor invoice documentation.
• Support Accounts Receivable tracking and follow‑up activities.
• Assist with General Ledger reconciliations and accounting schedules.
• Prepare supporting documentation for month‑end close activities.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

Reconciliations & Reporting

• Perform bank, vendor, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support data analysis and preparation of ad‑hoc financial reports.

Administrative Support

• Maintain finance documentation and filing systems.
• Organize contracts, invoices, tax records, and approvals.
• Support special projects assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com
• BBA (Finance)
• Equivalent Finance or Accounting qualification
