Finance Controller

We are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to takeend-to-end ownership of the company’s financial operations. This is a hands-onleadership role responsible for the accuracy, control, and integrity of allfinancial processes — spanning receivables, payables, book-keeping, budgeting,statutory compliance, and financial reporting — for a growing real estatedevelopment business.
KEYRESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Operations & Control
- Ownend-to-end control over Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP),ensuring timely collections, vendor payments, and reconciliation.
- Overseeday-to-day book-keeping and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded inline with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Establishand monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensureprocess discipline across the finance function.
Budgeting & MIS
- Drivethe annual budgeting process across projects and cost centers.
- Prepareand present monthly/quarterly Budget vs. Actual (BvA) analysis, highlightingvariances and driving corrective action with project and business teams.
- Providemanagement with timely, accurate MIS reports to support businessdecision-making.
- Prepareaccurate and timely standalone and consolidated financial statements (P&L,Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with applicable accounting standards(Ind AS).
- Ensurebooks are audit-ready at all times and support month-end/year-end closing processes.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinateand manage statutory, internal, and tax audits end-to-end, ensuring timelyclosure with minimal observations.
- Ensurefull compliance with GST (including project-specific real estate GSTprovisions) and TDS regulations — accurate computation, timely filing, andreconciliation.
- Staycurrent with regulatory changes affecting real estate accounting and taxcompliance (RERA-linked financial disclosures, related party transactions,etc.) and ensure the organization remains compliant.
Systems & Process
- Workwithin an ERP environment to manage financial data, reporting, and controls;drive process improvements and automation where possible.
- Partnerwith cross-functional teams (project, sales, procurement) to ensure financialdiscipline is embedded in operational workflows.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Leadand mentor the finance and accounts team, building capability and ensuringsmooth day-to-day operations.
- Liaisewith external stakeholders — auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatoryauthorities — as needed.
CANDIDATEREQUIREMENTS
- Experience:12–18 years of progressive experience in finance/accounts, with at least a fewyears in a controllership or senior finance leadership role. Realestate/construction industry experience strongly preferred.
- Education:CA or CA Inter preferred; however, strong hands-on experience in the areasabove is mandatory.
- Strongworking knowledge of an ERP environment (SAP/Oracle/Tally/other real estate ERPplatforms).
- Soundexpertise in AR/AP management, book-keeping, and financial statementpreparation.
- Strongcommand over GST and TDS regulations, including real estate-specificprovisions.
- Hands-onexperience managing statutory and internal audits.
- Proficientin budgeting, variance analysis, and MIS reporting.
- Strongattention to detail and ownership mindset.
- Abilityto work closely with the CFO and senior leadership in a fast-growing, dynamicenvironment.
- Goodcommunication and stakeholder management skills.
