Job summary

Bravient Advisors Private Limited is seeking a semi-qualified CA/CMA or B.Com with MBA in Finance for a remote, India-based role. You will handle accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance across multiple entities for D2C brands using Zoho Books, Shopify, and quick-commerce platforms.

You will prepare MIS, manage AR/AP, and support GST, TDS filings, audits, and internal controls in a fast-paced, remote team. Prior experience with D2C and cross-entity reconciliation is highly valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and improve sales-to-books processes and integrations as sales channels scale.
• Reconcile orders, returns, payments, COD settlements, channel payouts, and deductions.
• Track channel-wise inventory, consignment or Sale-or-Return stock, and margins.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and management reports.
• Support GST, TDS, and annual statutory filings handled by external consultants.
• Follow internal controls and maintain audit-ready records across entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Helpdesign and improve sales-to-books processes and integrations as saleschannels scale.
  
• Accountfor sales through company-owned Shopify storefronts and quick-commerceplatforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart.
  
• Reconcileorders, returns, payment gateway transactions, Cash on Delivery (COD)settlements, channel payouts, and deductions with the books of account.
  
• Trackchannel-wise inventory, consignment or Sale-or-Return (SOR) stock, andmargins, wherever applicable.
  

Reporting and MIS

• Preparedaily, weekly, and monthly MIS and management reports, as required.
  
• Preparesupporting schedules, reconciliations, and analyses for review by seniorfinance team members.
  

Banking and Treasury Support

• Executeand record payments, perform bank reconciliations, and track fundpositions across entities.
  
• Supportcash flow monitoring and disciplined working capital management.
  

Accounting and Bookkeeping

• Maintaincomplete and accurate books of account for each portfolio company usingZoho Books.
  
• Recordpurchases, sales, expenses, bank transactions, and journal entries whileensuring that ledgers remain accurate and reconciled.
  
• Performmonthly book closures and prepare financial statements for review.
  

Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

• Prepareand issue invoices to customers and channel partners, and track and followup on collections.
  
• Processvendor bills and payments in accordance with approved policies whileensuring prudent management of credit cycles.
  
• Maintainaccounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) ageing reports, andproactively escal overdue balances and exceptions.
  

Statutory and Compliance Support

• Prepareaccurate data and working papers for GST, TDS, and other statutory filingshandled by external consultants.
  
• Maintaincompliance calendars and ensure that supporting documentation isaudit-ready.
  
• Supportannual audits and statutory financial statement preparation.
  

Controls and Documentation

• Followand help strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, andrecord-keeping practices.
  
• Maintainorganised, audit-ready records for each entity to ensure traceability,accuracy, and continuity.
  

Role Requirements

• Hands-onexperience with Zoho Books is essential.
  
• Provenexperience in accounting for D2C sales through Shopify and quick-commerceplatforms, including settlement and payout reconciliations.
  
• Strongaccounting fundamentals and working knowledge of GST and TDS.
  
• Excellentattention to detail, reliability, and discipline in meeting deadlines andmaintaining documentation.
  
• Abilityto manage multiple entities and competing priorities consistently andaccurately.
  
• Strongwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work within astructured review framework.
  
• Abilityto work independently in a remote environment while collaboratingeffectively with lean teams.
  
• Experiencein implementing D2C and quick-commerce accounting best practices andimproving evolving finance processes is a strong advantage.
  

Candidate Background

• Qualification: Semi-qualified CA/CMA, or B.Com with an MBA in Finance or equivalent.
  
• Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, andcompliance.
  
• IndustryPreference: Experience with D2C brands, consumer businesses, orstartups is strongly preferred.
  
• AdditionalAdvantage: Experience managing accounting and reporting acrossmultiple entities.
