Job summary

Heads Up For Tails in Gurugram is seeking a Finance Associate to support day-to-day finance and operations, with emphasis on detail orientation and working with data to understand how finance, inventory, and business processes come together in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle sales reconciliation, data validation, PO and invoice processes, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate (Any Stream) with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Freshers with strong analytical and organizational skills encouraged to apply.
  • Internship experience in finance, operations, accounts, or data management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy: Reconcile daily sales transactions against payments and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accuracy across financial documentation and records and ensure timely reporting of sales data.
  • Data Management & Validation: Collect, organize, and validate critical business data and support reporting.
  • Inventory & Operational Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Operations & Process Management: Support PO and Invoice creation processes and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify gaps and assist in implementing tools to improve productivity and automate repetitive tasks.

About The Role

The Finance Associate will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day finance and operations processes across the business. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, enjoys working with data, and is eager to learn how finance, operations, inventory, and business processes come together in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy
  • Reconcile daily sales transactions against corresponding payments.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales data.
  • Maintain accuracy across financial documentation and records.
  • Data Management & Validation
  • Collect, organize, and maintain business-critical data.
  • Validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Support reporting and analysis through effective data management.
  • Identify inconsistencies and proactively resolve issues.
  • Inventory & Operational Coordination
  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Support inventory adjustments, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining operational accuracy across systems and processes.
  • Work closely with various functions to improve data visibility and control.
  • Operations & Process Management
  • Support Purchase Order (PO) and Invoice creation processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure smooth execution of finance-related operational activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation and process compliance.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Support implementation of tools and systems that improve productivity.
  • Assist in automating repetitive tasks and workflows.
  • Contribute ideas that enhance operational effectiveness and accuracy.
Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate (Any Stream)
Experience
  • 0–2 years of experience.
  • Freshers with strong analytical and organizational skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship experience in finance, operations, accounts, or data management is an advantage.
