Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage AMC books of accounts and ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closure.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, MIS and management reports.
  • Lead/coordinate statutory audit, internal audit and tax audit, including audit schedules, queries and closure of observations.
  • Ensure timely compliance with Income Tax, TDS, GST, Companies Act, SEBI/AMFI and other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Review tax computations, tax provisions, TDS/GST reconciliations and statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants on assessments, notices and other tax matters.
  • Manage bank, vendor, inter-company, tax and other financial reconciliations.
  • Review AMC expenses, vendor invoices, payments, accruals and provisions with appropriate TDS and accounting treatment.
  • Coordinate with RTA, Fund Accountant, Custodian and other service providers for finance-related matters and reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance analysis.
  • Monitor AMC operating costs, including scheme TER and BER, and support cost optimisation initiatives
  • Provide financial analysis and support for business decisions.
  • Monitor changes in accounting, taxation, SEBI/AMFI and other regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY SKILLS
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
  • Working knowledge of SEBI/AMFI, Companies Act, Income Tax, TDS and GST
  • Experience in statutory, internal and tax audits
  • Strong reconciliation and financial control skills
  • Knowledge of Mutual Fund/AMC accounting and operating processes
  • Budgeting, forecasting and MIS/financial analysis
  • Ability to coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and external service providers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet regulatory and financial reporting timelines
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial/accounting systems eg. Tally.
QUALIFICATION
  • CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
