Job summary

Mercados Energy Markets is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor for the RDSS Scheme to oversee on-ground smart meter installations and commissioning. The role requires coordinating field activities across multiple locations, ensuring safety and adherence to technical standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in AMR/AMI projects and strong MS Office, especially Excel, for MIS reporting and performance tracking. Base location is within Bhopal region, with travel as needed.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional for the role of Field Supervisor under the RDSS Scheme, responsible for supervising the on-ground installation and commissioning of smart meters as part of AMR/AMI implementations. The ideal candidate will oversee field activities to ensure safe, accurate, and compliant meter installations while maintaining real-time coordination with field teams and stakeholders.

Detailed set of expectations from the role

Ensure that all AMR/AMI smart meter installations are carried out accurately, safely, and in compliance with technical standards and RDSS guidelines.

Prepare and maintain detailed daily/weekly MIS reports using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and support performance reviews and compliance assessments.

Monitor the proper commissioning of smart meters to ensure accurate data capture, transmission, and integration into centralized monitoring systems.

Maintain real-time coordination with DISCOM officials (District/Circle), contractors, and technical support teams to address operational issues, elevate challenges, and ensure timely project execution.

Required skill set

Experience in installation of Smart meter with preparation of MIS in any AMR/AMI project.

Having good knowledge of Microsoft office and excel reports.

Education and Experience

Over 3 years of experience.

Degree/ Diploma in Electrical engineering from a recognized university.

Work Location

Base location shall be multiple locations under Bhopal Discom. However, the role would require the applicant to undertake travel for pursuing various opportunities.
