Job summary

GMR Energy invites applications for a Field Execution Supervisor in the Smart Meter Installation program across multiple sites in Uttar Pradesh (Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Chandauli).

You will oversee outsourced agency field teams, ensure availability of meters and accessories, supervise technical work, and enforce safety standards while addressing consumer concerns and driving on-time installations.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years total experience in field roles.
• Minimum 2 years onground technical experience in meter installation / power distribution.
• Exposure to field execution and contractor supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daytoday MI activities carried out by outsourced agencies within the assigned division.
• Ensure availability of manpower, tools, meters, seals, and accessories before daily rollout.
• Provide technical guidance during Consumer Survey, CI, MI, and O&M activities.
• Conduct random field checks for installation quality and wiring/sealing correctness.
• Identify and prevent rework, rejects, and safety lapses.
• Support consumer interaction during MI activities to ensure smooth installations.
• Resolve onsite technical issues and consumer objections within defined timelines.
• Escalate unresolved cases to Circle InCharge with factual inputs.
• Coordinate with stores for timely issue of meters, seals, and accessories.
• Verify material movement as per approved route and plan.
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure adherence to HSE guidelines by all field teams.
• Enforce use of PPEs and safe work practices.
• Report safety incidents, near-misses, or violations.

Job description

Job Purpose:

To support divisionlevel execution and control of the Smart Meter Installation (MI) program under AMISP model, by providing onground technical supervision, quality assurance, and operational facilitation to outsourced agencies, ensuring adherence to approved SOPs, safety standards, timelines, and consumer service norms.

The role is critical in enabling smooth daytoday field execution, resolving technical and consumerrelated issues, and ensuring firsttimeright installation within the assigned division.

Role & responsibilities

1. Field Execution Support & Facilitation

• Facilitate daytoday MI activities carried out by outsourced agencies within the assigned division.
• Ensure availability of manpower, tools, meters, seals, and accessories before daily rollout.

Support mobilization and stabilization of installation teams.

2. Technical Supervision & Quality Control

• Provide technical guidance during Consumer Survey, Consumer Indexing (CI), MI, and O&M activities.
• Conduct random field checks for:
• Installation quality
• Wiring & sealing correctness
• Identify and prevent rework, rejects, and safety lapses.

3.Consumer Interaction & Issue Resolution

• Support consumer interaction during MI activities to ensure smooth installations.
