Job summary

Netel India is seeking a field service engineer to install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites and perform preventive maintenance. You will diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, respond to service calls within agreed timelines, conduct inspections, document maintenance records, and train customers on proper equipment use.

You will also manage spare parts inventory and coordinate replacements while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure equipment or systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical or equipment problems.
• Respond to customer service calls and resolve issues within agreed timelines.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and performance checks.
• Replace faulty components and carry out necessary repairs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Train customers or operators on proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and documentation.
• Maintain spare-parts inventory and coordinate replacement parts when required.
• Follow safety procedures, company standards, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, production, and support teams to resolve complex issues.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Travel to customer locations when on-site support is required.
• Maintain good customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on new technologies, products, and technical procedures.
