Grifols is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Brisbane to deliver on-site technical support, maintenance and repair for our laboratory and medical instrumentation across Queensland. You will be the primary customer-facing technical expert, ensuring equipment reliability and high customer satisfaction within hospitals and labs.

Applicants should have experience as a Field Service Engineer in medical or laboratory settings, with a strong technical mindset and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer within a medical, hospital, or laboratory environment.
• A strong technical passion for instruments and servicing complex machinery.
• A degree in Electrical Engineering is highly regarded but not mandatory; a Master's is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on major diagnostic equipment (Grifols Panther, Xpress, Erytra, Eflexis).
• Visit client sites approximately 4 times a week to ensure high instrument uptime and address issues promptly.
• Manage service territory (primarily Queensland with occasional interstate travel).
• Collaborate with Supervisor and service team to share insights and coordinate scheduling.
• Document all service activities and maintenance reports according to company guidelines.

Role Mission

As a Field Service Engineer based in Brisbane, your mission will be to provide high-quality on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for our specialized laboratory and medical instrumentation across Queensland and interstate territories. You will serve as the primary customer-facing technical expert, ensuring equipment reliability and maximizing customer satisfaction within hospitals and laboratories.

What your responsibilities will be

• You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on major diagnostic equipment, including the Grifols Panther, Xpress, Erytra, and Eflexis platforms.
• You will maintain a strong customer-facing presence, visiting client sites approximately 4 times a week to ensure high instrument uptime and address technical issues promptly.
• You will manage your service territory (primarily Queensland with occasional interstate travel to New South Wales), balancing regular travel requirements with efficient service delivery.
• You will collaborate closely with your Supervisor and the broader service team to share technical insights, coordinate scheduling, and maintain high standards of teamwork.
• You will document all service activities, maintenance reports, and technical interventions accurately in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory standards.

• Experience & Skills: Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally within a medical, hospital, or laboratory environment. A strong technical passion for instruments and servicing complex machinery.
• Mindset: Highly energetic, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and a dedicated team player with excellent customer-facing communication skills.
• Education & Qualifications: A degree or background in Electrical Engineering (or a Master's degree) is highly regarded but not mandatory. A valid Australian driver’s license and the flexibility to travel across assigned territories are required.
