Job summary

Wabtec in India is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support on-site maintenance and retrofit projects for rolling stock. You will participate in customer meetings, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, manage spares on site, maintain failure databases, and prepare site reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Candidates should have a mechanical or electrical/electronics degree and 5–10 years of service engineering experience, with strong English and Hindi/Marati communication

Qualifications

• Qualification: Mechanical or electrical/electronics degree.
• Experience: 5–10 years as a Service Engineer.
• Rolling stock experience is preferable.
• Strong communication in English, Hindi/Marati.
• IT literate with proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Participate in customer meetings related to technical and RAMS issues.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in FT system.
• Perform follow-ups and audits on FS procedures with safety rules.
• Manage spares on site and coordinate follow-ups.
• Maintain the failure database and component traceability.
• Plan retrofit work and implement it on-site.
• Troubleshoot failures and provide corrective actions.
• Prepare site reports in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Generate site reports and maintain documentation.

• Should be able to troubleshoot the electrical and mechanical faults in FT system


• Perform follow-up and audits on the FS procedure application with a focus on the safety rules


• Managing the spares on site and having the follow ups


• Maintaining the failure database and component traceability


• Planning of the retrofit work and its implementation


• Troubleshooting the failures and correction


• Site report preparation in the excel , word and PPT format

Candidate Profile

Qualification - Good academic back ground in mechanical or electrical/electronics degree

Experience - Minimum experience of 5-10 years of working as Service engineer

Required Skill Set

• Good technical understanding of electrical and pneumatic circuits. Relevant rolling stock experience is preferable


• Should have the experience in troubleshooting


• Should have very good communication skill in English, Hindi / Marati


• Flexible attitude to work in changing environment
