Job summary

ABB Motion in Ahmedabad, India seeks a Field Service Engineer/Commissioning Engineer to execute on-site PLC/SCADA/HMI projects with a focus on first-time-right execution and strong customer engagement. You will travel as required and coordinate with customers and ABB teams to ensure successful commissioning.

With 3–6 years of hands-on site experience, you will lead on-site activities, manage installation and testing, and deliver quality documentation while upholding ABB standards and safety

Qualifications

• Education- BE/Btech- Electrical/EC/EI/EE.
• Looking for a Field Service Engineer / Commissioning Engineer with 3–6 years of overall experience, preferably with strong hands-on site and commissioning experience in PLC-based automation projects.
• Travelling mandatory and Renewable field experience will be an added advantage.
• Managing customer, managing site activity as per the contract terms, commissioning/installation are the primary roles.

Responsibilities

• All on-site activities and for acting as the interface to customer and/or third-party installation and commissioning team.
• Leading all discussions and meetings on-site, proposing appropriate resolutions to customer's concerns while ensuring ABB guidelines, team objectives, and sales goals are met.
• Design/development/testing/commissioning of PLC/SCADA/HMI based automation projects.
• Documentation & reporting of automation projects.
• Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally, in alignment with the Service Quality Manager to maintain good customer relationships and ensures repeat customers.

This Position reports to: Automation Service Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.
