About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Field application engineer / Solutions Engineer to join our team in Noida (HQ). This is a dual-function role that spans both pre‑sales engagements and post‑sales project support for our Video Analytics, Video Management Software (VMS), and IP CCTV camera solutions. The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, hands‑on, and comfortable working across Sales, Projects, and Operations teams.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations for prospective clients.
- Design and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) deployments tailored to specific customer environments and requirements.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM), technical proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and solution architecture documents.
- Evaluate customer site requirements and recommend appropriate camera models, NVR/DVR/server configurations, and software solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to identify technical needs and craft winning proposals.
- Support product benchmarking, competitive analysis, and technical differentiation exercises.
- Maintain awareness of the latest trends in video analytics, AI‑based surveillance, and smart city solutions.
- Assist the project delivery team in configuration, installation, and commissioning of IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, VMS platforms, and video analytics engines.
- Support system integration, network configuration, and video analytics rule setup at customer sites.
- Conduct system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and prepare handover documentation.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical troubleshooting and support during project go‑live and stabilization phases.
- Coordinate with OEM and vendor technical teams for escalations and timely resolutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, configuration guides, and project handover reports.
- Travel to customer sites across India as required for installation, commissioning, or support assignments.
Technical Skills Required
- Hands‑on experience with IP CCTV cameras including Fixed, PTZ, Bullet, Fisheye and multi sensor variants and surveillance hardware supporting industry‑standard protocols such as ONVIF and RTSP, across a range of resolutions, form factors, and deployment scenarios.
- Working knowledge of Video Management Software (VMS) such as Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Video Analytics use cases: intrusion detection, people counting, License Plate Recognition (LPR), facial recognition, crowd analytics, and more.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: IP addressing, VLANs, PoE switches, bandwidth estimation, and storage sizing for surveillance; Good knowledge on LINUX OS & WINDOWS OS.
- Experience with server and storage hardware configuration for video surveillance workloads.
- Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and surveillance system design best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and proposal preparation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in this domain - OR – Diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
- 1-3 years of hands‑on experience in pre‑sales engineering or technical support within the surveillance, security, or related technology industry.
- Proven track record of delivering PoCs, technical demos, or system installations for surveillance or security solutions.
- OEM certifications from Hikvision, Axis, Milestone, Genetec, or similar will be a strong advantage.
