Job Description
As a Field Application Engineer, you will serve as the bridge between technical expertise and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, sales, and customer service teams to address technical issues related to our products and services, liaising with clients, incorporating user feedback into application designs, and providing essential technical support. If you are passionate about solving complex challenges and ensuring customer success, this role is ideal for you.
We seek candidates with strong experience in the following areas:
- Technical Support:
- Provide prompt technical support to customers, sales staff, and XP distributors, addressing technical issues related to products and services.
- Application Management:
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to create value and increase revenue, including:
- Supporting applications by assisting customers with technical solutions.
- Managing projects involving testing, evaluation, and liaising with customers and suppliers.
- Leading technical resolution during the design phase.
- Project Management:
- Engage with customers to resolve technical issues related to XP products or system-level problems.
- Ensure timely and within-budget completion of customer-specific product developments.
- Make judicious decisions on resource utilization.
- Products:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all XP products, including new introductions.
- Update internal stakeholders on relevant legislation and specifications.
- Propose modifications or alternative solutions when standard models are unsuitable.
- Build good relations with suppliers and stay informed about market products.
- Conduct product presentations for customers.
- Information Maintenance:
- Maintain project documentation within platforms like Sales Force, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- An Electrical Engineering Degree with at least 3 years of experience in Power Supply-related industries.
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, AC sources, electronic loads, and CE testing tools.
- Experience in resolving technical issues at customer sites.
- Strong troubleshooting skills at the system level.
- Knowledge of international EMC and IEC standards (e.g., IEC60601-1, IEC62368).
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A challenger spirit and a customer-focused mindset.
