Job summary

The Souled Store Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a creative Textile Designer in Mumbai to develop designs from concept to production-ready files, coordinating with design, merchandising and production teams.

The role requires 1-3 years of textile design experience, a degree in Textile Design, and proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator. CAD software knowledge is a plus, with strong colour and pattern sensibility and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Textile Design from NIFT or a reputed design college.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in textile design.
• Strong sense of colour, pattern, trends and aesthetics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Good communication and coordination skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs including stripes, checks, dobby and jacquard per season briefs.
• Create mood boards, colour palettes and colourways.
• Prepare weave structures, design files and specifications for sampling.
• Coordinate sampling and production teams to ensure accurate execution.
• Review samples and incorporate feedback until approved.
• Research market trends, yarns and fabric constructions.
• Maintain a design library with records of designs and approvals.
• Meet design timelines and support merchandising and sales presentations.

Job description

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer. You will develop designs, from concept to a production-ready file, working closely with the design, merchandising and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop designs including stripes, checks, dobby and jacquard, based on season themes, trends and buyer or client briefs.
• Create design concepts, mood boards, colour palettes and colourways.
• Prepare weave structures, design files and technical specifications for sampling and production.
• Coordinate, sampling and production teams so designs are executed accurately.
• Review samples, give feedback and make corrections until the design is approved.
• Research market trends, yarns, fabric constructions and new techniques.
• Maintain a design library and keep records of designs, colourways and sample approvals.
• Meet design timelines and support merchandising or sales on presentations and buyer meetings.

Required Qualifications
