Job summary

Livspace Bengaluru leads in textile and soft furnishing design across Bed Linen, Bath Linen, Cushions, Curtains, Rugs, Throws. The designer role supports concept-to-production, translating trends into market-ready designs while ensuring alignment with brand image and customer needs.

You will collaborate with Design, Buying, Sourcing, Quality and Merchandising teams, review samples, develop prints and colorways, and prepare mood boards and collection stories for presentations.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design or related Design discipline from NID/NIFT.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in textile/home furnishing designs.

Responsibilities

• Support development of textile prints, patterns, colourways and surface designs.
• Translate trend direction and design briefs into commercially relevant designs.
• Develop artworks and patterns as per product and production requirements.
• Assist in developing products from concept stage through sampling and production.
• Prepare design specifications and handovers for sampling and production.
• Trend & Market Research across home textiles and related product categories.
• Research global and domestic trends in home textiles and related product categories.
• Identify new ideas, colours, patterns, materials and design opportunities relevant to the brand.
• Work with vendors and internal teams during the sampling and development process.
• Review samples for design accuracy, colour, print quality and overall execution.

Job description

Support the design team in conceptualising and developing innovative, trend-relevant textile and surface designs for the

Household portfolio. Assist in translating seasonal trends and design direction into commercially relevant products, ensuring

alignment with the brand image, customer preferences, quality standards and product requirements.

The role will support the end-to-end design & development process across categories such as Bed Linen, Bath Linen,

Cushions, Curtains, Rugs, Throws and other Soft Furnishing products, while ensuring alignment with customer needs,

market trends, seasonal direction and business objectives.

Design Development & Execution

• Support development of textile prints, patterns, colourways and surface designs.
• Translate trend direction and design briefs into commercially relevant designs.
• Develop artworks and patterns as per product and production requirements.
• Assist in developing products from concept stage through sampling and production.
• Prepare design specifications and handovers for sampling and production.
• Trend & Market Research
• Research global and domestic trends in home textiles and related product categories.
• Analyse competitor and market offerings.
• Identify new ideas, colours, patterns, materials and design opportunities relevant to the brand.
• Product Development & Sampling
• Work with vendors and internal teams during the sampling and development process.
• Review samples for design accuracy, colour, print quality and overall execution.
• Incorporate feedback and make necessary design modifications.
• Product Presentation
• Support preparation of design presentations, mood boards and collection stories.
• Assist in product presentation in regard to design, packaging and positioning.
• Ensure the visual design direction is clearly communicated to internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Design, Buying, Sourcing, Quality and Merchandising teams.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely execution of design and sampling requirements.
• Support adherence to seasonal and product development calendars.
