Qualifications

General Manager Factory Operations

Job Summary

Rayzon Global LLP is seeking an experienced and result-oriented General Manager Factory Operations to lead and manage the overall manufacturing operations at our Vapi plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, quality assurance, maintenance, supply chain coordination, statutory compliance, cost optimization, and team leadership. The candidate should possess strong expertise in manufacturing processes, factory administration, production planning, and operational excellence while driving continuous improvement and achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

Lead end-to-end factory operations to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing. Develop and implement production plans to meet business targets and customer delivery schedules. Monitor daily production performance, productivity, and machine utilization. Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Ensure maximum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.

Plant Management

Oversee all plant functions including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Dispatch, and Administration. Ensure uninterrupted plant operations with minimum downtime. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare monthly operational reports and present key performance metrics to management.

Quality Assurance

Ensure strict adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Coordinate with QA/QC teams to maintain product quality and reduce rejection rates. Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality improvement.

Maintenance & Engineering

Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of all machinery and utilities. Coordinate installation and commissioning of new equipment. Improve machine efficiency and equipment reliability.

Inventory & Supply Chain

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. Coordinate with Procurement and Stores for uninterrupted production. Ensure efficient warehouse and dispatch operations.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Labour Laws, Pollution Control Board norms, Fire & Safety regulations, and statutory requirements. Promote a safe working environment by implementing EHS policies and safety audits. Coordinate with government authorities during inspections and statutory audits.

Financial & Cost Control

Prepare and monitor factory budgets. Control manufacturing costs and reduce wastage. Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

People Management

Lead, mentor, and develop departmental heads and factory staff. Build a high-performance culture focused on productivity and accountability. Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs. Maintain healthy industrial relations and resolve employee grievances effectively.

Coordination

Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Design, Projects, Finance, and HR departments to ensure seamless business operations. Support new product development and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
