Working Days & Timings

• 6 Days a Week
• 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Compensation (CTC):
• Minimum: ₹12 LPA
• Maximum: As per interview performance, experience, and current compensation

Role Overview

The General Manager – Operations will be responsible for end-to-end factory operations at the Sarigam manufacturing facility. This role demands a hands‑on leader who can drive production efficiency, maintain stringent quality standards, optimize costs, and build high‑performing shop‑floor teams.

The incumbent will take complete ownership of plant operations, productivity, manpower management, safety, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a wire, steel, or heavy engineering manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Production & Operations Management
  • Oversee daily production operations to meet planned output as per business and customer requirements.
  • Track production KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and implement corrective actions.
  • Improve machine utilization, reduce wastage, and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Manpower Management, Team Building & Cost Control
  • Ensure optimal manpower deployment across shifts and production lines.
  • Build, mentor, and develop supervisors and shop‑floor teams to create a disciplined, performance‑oriented culture.
  • Work closely with HR on manpower planning, attendance management, and discipline.
  • Monitor consumption of raw materials, consumables, and utilities and implement cost‑optimization measures.
• MIS, Reporting & Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports to senior management.
  • Present structured action plans for productivity improvement, risk management, and cost control.
  • Coordinate with PPC, Maintenance, Quality, HR, Dispatch, and Stores to ensure smooth factory operations.
• Quality Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure adherence to high quality standards with a strong focus on zero‑defect manufacturing.
  • Drive root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Quality and R&D teams to strengthen process and product quality.
• Safety, Compliance & Factory Administration
  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with statutory and safety regulations.
  • Implement and monitor SOPs and conduct regular safety audits and reviews.
  • Coordinate with HR, Security, and Administration to maintain discipline and smooth factory operations.

Candidate Profile

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in wire manufacturing, steel, or heavy engineering.
• Mandatory experience with organizations having ₹250+ Cr annual turnover and 400+ employees.
• Strong exposure to factory operations, manpower management, cost control, and quality systems.
• Proven leadership, execution capability, and decision‑making skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Sarigam, Gujarat is mandatory.
