Job Description
Summary Maintains and repairs the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper functioning and safety of operations and utilities (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical and Utilities).
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks: fixing electrical, electronics, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems; troubleshoot for problem solving.
- Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance with minimum downtime.
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly breakdown activities with suppliers and contractors.
- Assist in setup and installation of new systems and utilities equipment, support improvement projects and retrofit jobs.
- Maintain civil, carpentry, and plumbing infrastructure and coordinate with suppliers.
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence.
- Hands‑on knowledge for operational maintenance (O&M) for Electrical (HT/LT, breakers & LT panel, transformers, DG, UPS), HVAC (central air‑cooling system, VRV, clean room, etc.), and Utilities (air compressors, FAS, fire hydrant & sprinklers, pump house, STP/ETP/WTP, stackers & lifters, gas set up, etc.).
- Troubleshoot equipment in electrical circuits, electronics, vacuum, heat treatments, high voltages; skills in troubleshooting electrical circuits and wiring, electronics, mechanical work, welding, gas lines, scrubbers.
- Knowledge on calibration & testing of instruments; assist in performing calibration activities.
- Prepare and maintain spare‑part lists; maintain stock inventory.
- Follow quality standards for preventive maintenance and breakdowns (MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
- Assist in marking layouts and providing suggestions and best practices per industry standards.
- Ensure H&S safety while performing work with proper PPE and guidelines.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role with diploma in Electrical/Mechanical qualification and 5‑7 years experience.
- Basic understanding of electrical, electronics, mechanical, utilities, gas lines, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of general and standard maintenance processes and methods with H&S aspect.
- Hands‑on experience with MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
- Problem‑solving skills, people management (suppliers & contractors) and cross‑functional team experience.
- Good physical condition and strength with willingness to work per company requirements.
