Job summary

The Banyan HR Consults Chennai is seeking an Export Operations professional in Chennai to manage end-to-end export documentation and shipment coordination. You will liaise with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines and internal teams to ensure timely dispatch and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in export operations, strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and Excel proficiency. MBA/IB background is a plus and ERP/SAP knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA/International Business is an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of export operations/documentation experience, FMCG preferred.
• Good knowledge of export docs, INCOTERMS, customs, and shipping.
• MS Office proficiency; ERP/SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare end-to-end export documentation (invoices, packing lists, etc.).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines, logistics partners.
• Communicate with international customers on orders and docs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and shipment procedures.
• Track shipments and resolve logistics issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Sales, Finance, QA for exports.
• Maintain export records and reports for audits.
• Support export sales with quotations and pricing coordination.

• Handle end-to-end export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, certificates of origin, and other export-related documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines, and logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch of shipments.
• Communicate with international customers regarding order status, shipment schedules, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs requirements, and international trade procedures.
• Track shipments and resolve any documentation or logistics-related issues.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Sales, Finance, and Quality for smooth export operations.
• Maintain export records, shipment reports, and documentation for audits.
• Support export sales activities by preparing quotations, export pricing, and coordinating customer requirements.

Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA/International Business is an added advantage).
• 2–5 years of experience in Export Operations/Export Documentation, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Good knowledge of export documentation, INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and international shipping.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; ERP/SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet shipment deadlines.
