Position Responsibilities
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of defense aircraft parts and assemblies, including specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in interpreting specifications and technical documentation.
- Inspection Techniques: Proficiency in using various inspection techniques, tools, equipment, and processes. Ability to perform visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and functional tests.
- Calibration Procedures: Knowledge of calibration procedures for various types of measurement instruments, test equipment, and tools. Ability to follow established calibration procedures accurately.
- Calibration Standards and Traceability: Familiarity with standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and traceability requirements. Understanding the importance of maintaining traceability.
- Quality Standards and Regulations: Knowledge of AS9100, AS9120, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-883. Understanding documentation and certification requirements.
- Audit Techniques and Tools: Planning and conducting internal QMS audits per AS9100D and AS9120B. Assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Preparing audit reports and performance metrics.
- Supplier Evaluation and Oversight: Assessing supplier capabilities, performance history, and quality systems.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying causes and determining corrective actions.
- Compliance and Security: Knowledge of export control regulations and security requirements. Understanding ITAR compliance.
- Ethical Conduct and Professionalism: Maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and objectivity throughout audit and supplier management processes.
- Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inspection records, providing clear feedback, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve performance.
Basic Qualifications
- 10 years of relevant experience
- 4+ years of experience in Inspection and Quality control for Aerospace/Automotive
- 4+ years of experience in internal QMS audits of various aspects of a quality system in Aerospace or Automotive domains
- 4+ years of experience in production system and/or process improvements (Lean, job practices, techniques, and standards)
- 4+ years of experience with QMS (Quality Management System) and AS9100
- 3+ years of experience with precision measurement equipment for Aerospace and Automotive domains
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualification as an Internal Auditor in ISO/AS/IATF Standards will be an added advantage.
- Experience in MRO and Logistics support operations for Aerospace will be preferred.
- Former Armed forces personnel are welcome.
