ePlane Company in Chennai seeks a Quality Assurance/Control professional to lead inspections of electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, and PCBAs. You will ensure products meet AS9100, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards while guiding CAPA activities and root-cause analysis.
The role requires 2–5+ years in aerospace QA/QC, strong reading of schematics, and hands-on use of meters, oscilloscopes, and precision inspection tools.
Inspection & Testing: Perform detailed incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, avionics racks, and circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all products meet strict aerospace standards, including AS9100 , IPC-A-610 , IPC/WHMA-A-620 .
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate electrical failures, non-conformances, and test deviations. Lead the corrective and preventive action ( CAPA ) processes to ensure issues don't repeat.
Auditing: Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes, test setups, and supplier facilities to maintain high-quality benchmarks.
Documentation: Review and approve manufacturing routers, test logs, engineering drawings, and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102.
Prepare and maintain inspection plans, checklists, NCR, MRB, and CAPA records.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with AS9100 and DGCA airworthiness requirements.
Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality bottlenecks and improve production yields.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience with an Associate degree).
Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in quality assurance/control specifically within the aerospace, defense, or aviation electronics industry.
Technical Certifications: Current or prior certifications in IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (highly preferred).
Blueprints & Schematics: Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
Tools: Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (multi meters, Megger, oscilloscopes, automated harness testers) and precision inspection tools (calipers, microscopes).
Knowledge: Avionics, Electrical systems, Batteries, and power electronics(Motors).
Soft Skills: A relentless attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical quality issues clearly to non-quality teams.
Familiarity with environmental testing standards like DO-160 .
Compliance with Automated Testing and Verification DO-178.
Developing airborne electronic hardware DO-254.
Experience utilizing 5-Why, Fish bone diagrams, and 8D methodologies for problem-solving.
