Role & responsibilities
- Reports to the BCA Supplier Quality Control Tower Senior Manager
- Conducts the review and validation of suppliers First Article Inspection Reports in the Net Inspect software and documentation to ensure Suppliers have robust Initial Product and Production System Validation process as its main activity.
- Coordinates with Boeing stakeholders and suppliers the response to findings during the review of FAIRs in Net Inspects and reports status to leadership.
- Review of Contractual and Engineering requirements and validation of suppliers work instructions, manufacturing and inspection plans to ensure compliance and conformance of processes and products.
- Document and reports findings, observations, nonconformities etc. identified during the activities performed within the Statement of Work.
- Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
- Assists in providing supplier education and coaching on FAI, technical expertise, company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
- Assists in develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.
- This role may require frequent domestic and international travel.
Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum a Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and typically a minimum of 5 years or more related work experience
- Prior Aerospace engineering, manufacturing and Quality experience.
- Working experience in the creation, review and approval of First Article Inspections per AS9102
- Working experience in the creation, maintenance, review and approval of manufacturing and inspection plans, work instructions, specifications and other production documentation.
- Working experience and knowledge of GD&T and ability to provide coaching and training
- Working experience and knowledge of Net Inspect Software and other FAIR systems and software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization (Internal to Boeing and with Suppliers).
- Strong understanding of root cause and corrective action analysis and implementation of acceptable preventative action.
- Fluent in technical English spoken and written.
