Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a CAD Engineer in Maharashtra to lead mechanical design tasks for automotive projects. You will update drawings, analyze assemblies, and validate designs using NX/Teamcenter. Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3-6 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (NX, Teamcenter).
• Tools: NX/TCAE, PLM, Excel, CATIA/Enovia, Codep, Doc info, GIDAP, Gantt Chart, APQP/PAPP.
• Knowledge of vehicle architecture, electrical schematics, and EE components.
• Experience in design validation and structural stress analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Handle team coordination and execute project deliverables.
• Optimize vehicle designs and manage change requests effectively.
• Collaborate with foreign customers and suppliers, ensuring clear and slow-paced English communication.
• Analyse issues, update drawings/models in CAD systems, and provide solutions.
• Understand vehicle sub-systems, especially mechanical objects controlled by actuators/ECUs.
• Track, organize, and resolve open design issues.
• Provide technical feedback and recommendations to improve designs.
• Present design modifications and updates to higher management.
• Verify technical volumes, interferences, leverages, and forces in models.
• Support CAD updates and oversee supplier processes from onboard (SOB) to production readiness.

Must Have

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

• 3-6 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Unigraphics NX, Teamcenter).
• Tools: NX/TCAE, PLM, Excel, CATIA/Enovia, Codep, Doc info, GIDAP, Gantt Chart, APQP/PAPP.
• Knowledge of vehicle architecture, electrical schematics, and EE components.
• Experience in design validation and structural stress analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with DFMEA, PPAP, ECR, and DVPR processes.
• Understanding of injection molding and other manufacturing processes.
• Experience in handling projects with foreign customers and suppliers.

CAD Engineer
