Qualifications

• Experience in predicting convergence issues and troubleshooting.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Engine Exhaust CAE projects as an individual contributor or with team support.
• Execute projects, monitor progress, and suggest alternatives to meet milestones.
• Leverage new technologies to deliver Program CAE.
• Provide technical guidance on Exhaust CAE Durability projects and act as a GoTo person.
• Take initiative on new projects and collaborate to deliver tasks.
• Capture lessons learned and apply to future programs.
• Support tech clubs and develop action plans for critical issues in Exhaust systems.
• Identify root causes for convergence issues and mentor the team.

Job Description

• Individual contributor in delivering Engine Exhaust CAE projects (Strength, stiffness, fatigue, Durability, Vibration, Thermomechanical; component/correlations/Method development etc.) as an individual contributor/with support of team.
• Execute and check the progress of the projects, and suggest alternatives whenever required to make sure the delivery milestones are met, with the appropriate quality and cost.
• Leverage team competency by bringing new technology/concept to deliver Program CAE.
• Provide technical guidance on Exhaust CAE Durability attributes projects; establish as a "GoTO" person.
• Take initiative and responsibility for new challenging projects and collaborate team to deliver the task.
• Ensure lessons learnt are captured, translated & applied to future programs.
• Participate in Tech club meetings and support developing action plans and solutions for critical issues related to Exhaust systems.
• Should be able to find out the root cause for convergence issues during analysis and mentor the team to complete complex analysis.
• Expertise in predicting the failure zone upfront and decide on the better FE modelling procedure to get more accurate CAE results.
• Interfacing with the customer on the project status and analysis reviews on closure of TGW/issues within expectation.

Domain Knowledge

• Candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge in core Engine exhaust domain and hands on linear and nonlinear static (linear and nonlinear), dynamic (modal, steady-state & Transient), fatigue calculations, Heat transfer analysis.
• Should have measurable contribution in refining the CAE methods for Exhaust and Integration component/system/proving ground correlation/Test failures etc.
• Should have mentor and coached junior engineers to help competency building within Organization.
• Should have at least 7 plus years of Exhaust CAE Durability core Simulation experience.
• Well versed with FEA tools like Hypermesh/ANSA, Abaqus, n-Code, FEMFAT, Nastran etc.
• Skilled in optimization tools like ModeFrontier/Hyperstudy/HEEDS/Optistuct etc.
• Should have contributed to CAE Method developments by presenting/publishing technical paper in various forums.
• Should have contributed to Cross functional team by sharing knowledge within cross functional teams.
• Strong planning, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
