Job summary

Wireworks, a market leader in IT infrastructure design and AV solutions in India, seeks a driven procurement professional to manage strategic sourcing and vendor development across AV, SCS and UPS categories. You will handle pan-India purchases from distributors and OEMs, including international suppliers, with focus on cost negotiation and value optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic sourcing and vendor development for AV, SCS & UPS.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management across pan-India and overseas suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Handle overall activities of Purchase department (cost negotiation, new product development, RM price amendment, vendor development, strategic sourcing).
• Purchase AV, SCS & UPS solutions from distributors and OEMs pan-India including overseas suppliers.
• Direct procurement from AV/IT OEMs & distributors (not government/tender-led).
• Knowledge of AV brands and components (CommScope, Belden, Siemon, Crestron, LG, Samsung, Extron, Biamp, Kramer, Cisco).
• Create and manage PO trackers, inventory value and vendor performance reports.
• Collaborate with sales/services/design/project teams to support deal-specific pricing in INR/USD and track delivery and shipping costs.

About Role:

The primary focus of this role will be responsible for Strategic sourcing, Vendor Development & Commercial part. Will be responsible for purchasing AV, SCS & UPS solutions from distributors and OEMs on a Pan India basis including overseas suppliers

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for handling overall activities of Purchase department (Cost negotiation, new product development, Raw Material, RM price amendment, Vendor development & Strategic Sourcing.)
• Will be responsible for purchasing AV,SCS & UPS solutions from distributors and OEMs on a Pan India basis including overseas suppliers Prior exposure to stakeholder management at VP/CXO level
• Direct procurement from AV/IT OEMs & distributors (not government/tender-led)
• Knowledge of AV brands: CommScope, Belden, Siemon, Crestron, LG, Samsung, Extron, Biamp, Kramer, Cisco, etc.
• Vendor Development, Stock Control, Sourcing, Procurement of Material from vendors as per Specified
• Should have executed purchasing large corporate projects more than 10 Crores single deals and annually 50 Crores+
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred) for PO, GRN, MIS reports, and inventory tracking
• Ability to create and manage reports like PO trackers, inventory value, vendor performance
• Will work to support sales process from presales to post sales for getting deal specific prices in INR/USD, track validity, shipping costs.
• Will be required to share delivery, PO trackers and be persistent in follow-ups for deadline-based working.
• Willing to put in extra hours for meeting RFP schedules
• Willing to handle shipping/logistics for customer orders on a Pan India basis
• Knowledge of GST, online buying from portals, invoice validation, material QC preferred
• Will be required to collaborate with teams across sales/services/design/project processes
• Should be able to research and find new suppliers/vendors
• Familiar with DCs/Invoice/purchase entries/GRN, credit/debit notes

We Are Not Looking For:

• Candidates with only in-house or low-value purchasing experience (e.g., 12 Cr annually)
• Those from purely portal-based or tender-driven procurement roles Candidates with only government sector or internal asset procurement exposure
• Limited or no hands‑on negotiation with OEMs/distributors
• No working experience on ERP systems and Advanced Excel (SAP, Tally) or MIS reporting
• Poor grasp of basic accounting concepts (e.g., debit/credit understanding)
• Weak in Excel and data handling
• Willing to handle shipping/logistics for customer orders on a Pan India basis

Qualifications, Role Specific Knowledge, and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B. Com preferred)
• Knowledge of AV suppliers
• Knowledge of OEMs Special Prices process and sound negotiation skills
• Familiar with brands like LG/Samsung/Crestron/Extron/Sony/Kramer etc. and their products
• Sound task and PO tracking skills
• Numerical accuracy and analytical
• Relevant work experience of 2-8 years of relevant or similar industry preferred.
• Highly proficient in using MS-Office applications like excel, word and power-point and SAP/Tally applications
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
