Job summary

Alembic Pharmaceuticals seeks an Executive – PPIC to manage SAP MRP master data, plan materials, and prepare production schedules for Manufacturing, Packing, QC and Stores. You will monitor material availability and collaborate with Purchase and QA to keep plans on track.

The role involves coordinating with multiple functions, supporting new product launches, and delivering PPIC MIS and OTIF reporting to drive timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Production Planning and SAP MRP.
• Knowledge of SAP PP, MRP, production scheduling and master data management.
• Experience in RM/PM availability planning and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SAP master data accuracy for production planning and SAP MRP processes.
• Drive end-to-end SCM activities for new product launches from business case to material availability.
• Prepare weekly and monthly production schedules for Manufacturing, Packing, QC and Stores.
• Monitor RM and PM availability and coordinate with Purchase for shortages.
• Prepare PPIC MIS reports and OTIF for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QC, QA and other teams for timely issue resolution.
• Support change control and SOP-related activities in coordination with QA.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensured consistency and accuracy of SAP master data for production planning while effectively managing and adhering to SAP MRP processes.
• Drove end-to-end SCM activities for new product launches, from business case preparation to material availability, capacity planning, and timely product launch.
• On daily basis to monitor the material receipts and follow-up with purchase department for raw and packing material shortages/availability and with QC for analysis
• Prepared weekly and monthly production schedules for Manufacturing, Packing, QC, and Stores, also ensuring adherence to planned timelines.
• Inventory gap analysis of Raw /Packing materials on monthly basis.
• Prepare JIT (RM & PM) Schedule
• Preparation of Daily production report including equivalent units produced on day to day basis & put comments for materials shortage / Quality issues / others & circulates to relevant stake- holders.
• Prepared, analyzed, and presented monthly PPIC MIS reports to track key performance metrics, support decision-making, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Followed up with Purchase team to ensure timely procurement and 100% availability of raw and packing materials in line with current and next month's manufacturing and packing plans.
• Coordinated with cross-functional teams (CFT) on a daily and monthly basis to conduct gap analysis and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
• Handled monthly SAP MRP activities and ensuring accurate material planning and procurement alignment
• Handled Change Control, Deviation, and SOP management activities in collaboration with QA and other cross-functional departments, ensuring timely implementation and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare weekly OTIF for Mfg., Packing, QC and store

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Candidate Profile Executive / Sr. Executive – PPIC

• Qualification: Any Graduate; candidates with a relevant qualification in Pharmacy / Engineering / Science / Supply Chain will be preferred.
• Experience: Relevant PPIC experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry is mandatory.
• Candidate should have hands-on experience in Production Planning, Material Planning and SAP MRP.
• Good understanding of SAP PP / MRP, production scheduling and SAP master data management.
• Experience in planning and monitoring Raw Material (RM) and Packing Material (PM) availability.
• Should be able to prepare and monitor weekly/monthly production plans and schedules for Manufacturing, Packing, QC and Stores.
• Experience in JIT planning, inventory gap analysis and material shortage management.
• Should have experience in preparing Daily Production Reports, PPIC MIS and OTIF reports.
• Ability to coordinate with Purchase, Production, Packing, QC, QA, Stores and other CFTs for timely resolution of planning and material-related issues.
• Experience in new product launch planning, including material availability and capacity planning, will be an added advantage.
• Should have knowledge of Change Control, Deviation and SOP management in coordination with QA/CFT.
• Good analytical, coordination and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple production and material planning activities simultaneously.
