Job summary
Normet Group is a global technology company focused on mining, tunnelling and construction, delivering safety, environmental, and productivity improvements. We seek a seasoned HSE professional to lead process safety during project phases and drive a proactive safety culture on site.
You will oversee hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigations, and training programs while supervising hazardous materials handling and ensuring PTW/LOTO compliance on site in India.
Qualifications
- Education includes B.Tech or diploma with EHS-related diplomas.
- Lead auditor for ISO45001:2018 is a plus.
- 4–8 years of process safety experience during project phases.
- Background in Heavy Equipment / Machinery is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day activities are performed safely.
- Set up and supervise temporary work areas.
- Supervise safe handling, storage & disposal of hazardous materials.
- Provide safety induction to vendors/suppliers and training on PPE.
- Improve workplace safety through regular awareness sessions and training.
- Maintain OSHA/ISO policies and HSE documentation.

- Ensure day to day activity done in safe manner
- Ensure PTW and filling of FLRA
- Set up and supervising temporary work areas.
- Supervise the safe handling, storage & disposal of hazardous materials.
- Supervise the operation of any potential hazards in the workplace.
- Provide safety induction to vendor /supplier who are going to perform job
- Provide job / work related awareness / training, ensure PPE compliance etc..
- Improve workplace safety through regular awareness session and training
- Ensure that all company employees meet all OSHA requirements.
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and sustenance
- Maintain HSE related documents for operations
- Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.
- Ensure reporting of accidents/incidents/hazards, illnesses and investigate to discover root causes and recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures to avoid the reoccurrence
- Monthly / periodic HSE reporting on awareness, issues, statistics, and reports to relevant authorities
- Maintain and update Emergency response plan and ensure preparedness through mock drills
- Knowledge of Safe Work (PTW, work at height, LOTO,etc..)
- Knowledge of basic safety rules / ISO 45001:2018 & OHSAS
- Experience to identify hazard and risk assessment
- Incident investigation, report writing
- HSE software understanding, usage and analytical skills
- Communication skill, bold and strongly stand on shop floor
