MRF Vapocure in Chennai is seeking an experienced R&D Executive for water-based decorative paints to drive concept formulation, laboratory evaluation, benchmarking, pilot and plant-scale up, and field validation.

The role involves close collaboration with the R&D team to commercialize innovative formulations while continuously reducing costs without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• Formulation development skills for water-based paints.
• Analytical approach to cost and performance optimization.
• Experience in scale-up from lab to pilot/production.

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize water-based interior and exterior wall paints across economy, mid-premium and premium segments.
• Develop formulations targeting coverage, opacity, whiteness, scrub resistance.
• Optimize formulations for cost, performance and manufacturing feasibility.
• Establish product specifications, raw material specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare technical documentation including formulation sheets, test reports, TDS and related R&D documentation.
• Evaluate and develop drop-in / near-drop-in alternatives for critical raw materials and new raw materials for water-based paint formulations.
• Investigate product and field complaints using a structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) approach.
• Scale-Up & Manufacturing Support by transferring laboratory formulations successfully to pilot and production scale.
• Continuously identify opportunities for formulation cost reduction without compromising quality.

Preferred candidate profile

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong R&D Executive Water based Decorative Paints to join the R&D team from the R&D of a reputed leading paint company in India.

The candidate will be expected to independently drive projects from concept formulation laboratory evaluation competitive benchmarking pilot/plant scale-up field validation commercialization.
