Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for polymers, additives, fillers, and packaging materials.
• Monitor polymer price trends (PP, Nylon, ABS) and negotiate favorable terms.
• Identify qualified suppliers and manage multi-vendor sourcing to reduce risk.
• Manage supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and ensure capacity for production demand.
• Coordinate with production planning to forecast raw material demand and maintain optimal inventory.

Job Title: Sr. Executive Purchase

Objective:
To lead procurement operations for raw materials (polymers, additives, fillers, colorants), packaging materials, and services while ensuring cost efficiency, quality compliance, and continuous supply for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for Homo polymer, Co- Polymer, High Flow Homo polymer, No- Break Co-polymer, Talc, Calcium Carbonate, Glass, Anti-oxidants, additives, fillers, pigments, TIO2 and packaging materials.
• Monitor global and domestic polymer price trends of (PP, Nylon, ABS etc.).

Raw Material Sourcing
Key materials typically include:
Base Polymers

• Polypropylene (PP)

Responsibilities:

• Identify qualified suppliers.
• Ensure consistent quality and specifications.
• Maintain multi-vendor sourcing to reduce risk.

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify and on board new raw material suppliers.
• Build strategic partnerships with petrochemical companies and additive manufacturers.
• Manage supplier contracts and pricing agreements.
• Ensure supplier capacity and reliability for production demand.

Cost Control & Negotiation

• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
• Track commodity price movements in the petrochemical market.
• Implement cost saving initiatives such as:
  • Bulk buying
  • Long-term contracts
  • Alternative sourcing

Inventory & Supply Planning

• Coordinate with production planning team to forecast raw material demand.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Avoid stockouts and overstocking.
• Implement ERP-based inventory monitoring.

Education

• B.E / B.Tech (Chemical / Polymer / Mechanical)
• MBA Supply Chain (Preferred)

Experience

• 1220 years in procurement
• Minimum 8 years in polymer / plastics industry
