Job Summary

To work on accurate costing of new products in the Youva Stationery Division – Paper & Non-Paper. Suggesting corrective actions to reduce costs and bring efficiency in existing as well as new product costs.

Results

• Coordinate with the factory and vendors to derive the estimated costing of the new products to be developed.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the manufacturing and production processes.

Responsibilities

Major Duties

• Conducting in-depth analysis of production costs to determine the overall cost of existing/ new products.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams, such as NPD, production, and procurement, to estimate the costs for new products or changes in existing products.
• Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the product lifecycle. This includes identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggesting implementation strategies to optimize costs without compromising product quality.

Minor Duties

• Analyse cost variances by comparing actual costs with estimated costs.
• Monitor and analyse Mix variances.
• Conduct benchmarking activities to compare our product costs with competitors.
• To continuously review and improve cost to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
