Job summary

JobItUs in Ankleshwar, Gujarat region seeks a process design engineer to prepare calculations and review drawings for industrial plants in chemical sectors. You will generate PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and operation manuals to meet client specifications and applicable standards.

You will perform heat and material balances, coordinate with service departments for troubleshooting and scale-up, and contribute to HAZOP reviews and BEP activities. AutoCAD proficiency is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Preparation calculations and review of process design drawings per customer specs and applicable codes.
• Generation of PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, and operation manuals to meet client requirements.
• Carrying out heat and material balances for design validation.
• Coordination with service departments for process troubleshooting and scale-up.
• Exposure to or experience in BEP, technology development/transfer, and related BEP activities.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and able to work across multiple departments.

Job description

1. Responsible for the preparation calculations and review of process design drawings in accordance to customer specifications, applicable codes, standards and other generally accepted practices in the design of industrial plants such as organic chemicals, petrochemicals & other chemical industries.
2. To carry out activities like specification data sheet & basic engineering calculations.
3. To generate PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, operation manuals to comply with clients’ requirement.
4. To carry out heat and material balances.
5. Co-ordination with service departments for carrying out Process Troubleshooting & process scale up
6. To carry out hydraulic design for pumps & develop respective process datasheets.
7. Effectively generating data from Pilot plant/Kilo lab for Designing of Commercial Scale Plant.
8. To conduct or attend P&ID design reviews, HAZOP.
9. To coordinate with Project Team and other Department Engineers to facilitate smooth progress of engineering work.
10. To perform other functions that may be assigned by Department Manager.
11. Has to be computer savvy & expertise in AUTO CAD.
12. Should have exposure to or worked in following departments:
