Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Pune district is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support greenfield and brownfield projects in specialty chemicals. You will handle mass and energy balances, PFDs and P&IDs, and contribute to plant layout and equipment sizing calculations.

The role requires coordinating with stakeholders and vendors for engineering deliverables, RFQs and technical evaluations, and assisting in cost estimation, project charters, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in green field & brown field projects of specialty chemicals/process/catalyst/solid and liquid handling system-based plants.
• Knowledge and experience of Dryers (spin flash dryer and calciner, Spray drier, Box dryer, rotary calciner), Agitated tanks & utilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Mass Balance & Energy Balance, PFD, P&ID and conceptual plant layout drawing.
• Process calculations related to equipment sizing, line sizing, Pump Sizing, Utility load calculations.
• Prepare P&ID for Existing/Conceptual process with Equipment, Instrument list, Line list, and Interlock details.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, consultants and vendors for Basic Engineering, Detailed Engineering, Technical evaluation.
• Coordinate to prepare equipment data sheet from respective stakeholders.
• Prepare Technical RFQ and floating enquiries for quote collection.
• Prepare Technical comparison sheet and review with stakeholders, and minutes of meeting for key meetings/discussions.
• Assist Project manager in preparation of cost estimation, project charter, Gantt chart and tracking of cost vs budget along with project timeline.
• Participate in HAZOP, MOC and conduct PSSR for new plant/equipment.
• Carry out trials in newly purchased equipment before handing over to production, Pre Commissioning and Commissioning activities.
• Interact with vendors for collection of quotation, GA Drawings, P&ID, QAP and other documents for new equipment.
