Job summary

Asian Paints in India seeks a safety professional to lead plant safety programs, conduct inductions, audits, and daily safety rounds. You will drive risk assessments, CAPA actions, and ensure proper tool and equipment inspections while coordinating safety communications and training.

Responsibilities

1. 1 Conduct safety Induction program for all new entrants and continuous training programs for all employees/ workers working in the plant
2. 2 Conduct Mock drills on Emergency situations
3. 3 Attend safety meetings in the plant and closing safety points of such meetings
4. 4 Conduct Safety round and sharing observation report on daily basis
5. 5 Conduct and ensure Tool box talk for all employees
6. 6 Ensure safety communication arrangements through Displays, Safety Signs, In House Magazines, Safety Literature, Annual Plant Safety Performance Report etc
7. 7 Involvement in safety goal/target setting, Improvement project, Safety Suggestion Scheme, Safety Promotional activities etc
8. B Safety Audits and Inspections
9. 8 Ensure statutory inspection for all lifting tools& tackles and pressure vessels through third party
10. 9 Conduct non statutory inspections for the plant
11. 10 Comply ESS and GRC portal
12. 11 Participation in safety audits and implementation of corrective and preventive actions CAPA for points of safety audits
13. 12 Involvement in the process of hazard identification and risk assessment
14. 13 Conduct Job safety analysis for construction activities
15. 14 Involvement in statutory assessment of contractor from safety point of view
16. 15 Controlling contractors through regular monitoring, reward & penalty system and performance review of Contractor
17. 16 Inspect all safety equipment and maintain them in good manner

19. 17 Ensure good health of safety guards, safety interlocks, hand tools and power tools in the plant
20. 18 Ensure 100% compliance with work permit system and safe isolation procedure
21. 19 Study and control hazardous substances in the plant
22. 20 Procurement and maintain personal protective equipment in the plant
23. 21 Monitoring noise, ventilation and dust in the workplace
24. 22 Inspection of electrical equipment and installation
25. 23 Ensure fire risk of hazardous area in the plant
26. 24 Ensure maintenance of firefighting equipment and documentation
27. 25 Ensure healthiness of fire alarm system
28. 26 Train employees on emergency planning
29. D Safety performance & measurement
30. 27 Report all incidents including near miss on ESS
31. 28 Ensure investigation of all incidents including near miss
