The Executive – Last Mile at Essar Career Site will oversee daily last-mile delivery operations, coordinating dispatch, fleet deployment, and rider management to ensure timely orders and high service quality. Travel across distribution centres and zones is required to monitor performance, resolve escalations, and uphold FMCG SOPs while maintaining robust MIS and delivery trackers for ongoing reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• 3–5 years in last-mile delivery, FMCG, logistics, D2C or e-commerce operations.
• Hands-on experience in dispatch, fleet coordination, and delivery partner management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and tracking systems.
• Willingness to travel intercity and work in shifts.

• Coordinate daily dispatch, delivery schedules, fleet deployment, and rider allocation.
• Monitor delivery performance, SLAs, and resolve operational escalations.
• Improve route efficiency, vehicle utilisation, and delivery productivity.

About the Role

The Executive – Last Mile will manage daily last-mile delivery operations, including dispatch coordination, fleet management, delivery monitoring, and issue resolution. The role ensures timely deliveries, operational efficiency, and adherence to FMCG quality standards, with extensive field travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch, delivery schedules, fleet deployment, and rider allocation.


• Monitor delivery performance, SLAs, and resolve operational escalations.


• Improve route efficiency, vehicle utilisation, and delivery productivity.


• Ensure proper handling of fresh produce and compliance with operational SOPs.


• Conduct field visits across distribution centres, delivery zones, and partner locations.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.


• 3–5 years of experience in last-mile delivery, FMCG, logistics, D2C, or e-commerce operations.


• Hands-on experience in dispatch, fleet coordination, and delivery partner management.


• Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and operational tracking systems.


• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and execution skills.


• Willingness to work in shifts and travel extensively, including intercity travel.
