Job summary

Lohono Stays in Goa seeks a seasoned Head of Housekeeping to lead and elevate cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across all units. You will design SOPs, train a high-performing team, and ensure seamless collaboration with Engineering, GR, and F&B to deliver a luxury guest experience.

The role requires 13–15 years in housekeeping with 3–5 years in leadership, a Hotel Management degree, and a deep knowledge of luxury cleaning standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 13–15 years in Housekeeping operations with 3–5 years in a leadership or HOD role in luxury hospitality.
• Degree in Hotel Management preferred with specialization in Housekeeping or Accommodation Operations.
• Strong knowledge of luxury cleaning standards, products, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and manage housekeeping across Goa ensuring high cleanliness and presentation.
• Design and implement SOPs for daily, deep, and periodic cleaning aligned with luxury service expectations.
• Build, train, and mentor a high-performing housekeeping team across multiple roles.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure safety, hygiene, and aesthetics standards.
• Forecast manpower and resources; manage rosters, leaves, and shifts.
• Oversee inventory of linen, supplies, amenities, and equipment; optimize stock and prevent pilferage.
• Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with Engineering, GR, and F&B to meet inter-departmental needs.
• Manage vendor relationships for laundry, linen, deep cleaning, pest control; ensure quality and timeliness.
• Drive continuous improvement via training, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Lead pre-opening setup, post-renovation cleaning, and seasonal prep.
• Track costs and contribute to budget planning and cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and government health regulations.

• Conduct regular audits and shared spacesto ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and aesthetic standards.
• Forecast housekeeping manpower and resource requirements; oversee duty rosters,leave planning, and shift allocations.
• Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies,guest amenities, and housekeeping equipment—ensure optimum stock levels and prevent pilferage.
• Handle guest requests, complaints, or feedback relatedto housekeeping with promptness and professionalism.
• Collaborate with other departments (Engineering, GR, F&B) to ensure smooth operations and address inter-departmental housekeeping needs.
• Oversee vendor relationships for laundry, linen,deep cleaning, and pest control services—ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement throughregular training sessions,on-job coaching, and performance reviews.
• Lead pre-opening setup, post-renovation deep cleaning, and seasonal preparation (e.g., pre-monsoon maintenance).
• Track housekeeping costs and contribute to budget planningand cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety,sanitation, and government health regulations across all units.

Key Requirements:

Education: Degree in Hotel Management (preferred with specialization in Housekeeping or Accommodation Operations)

Experience:

13-15 years of experience in Housekeeping operations with 3–5 years in a leadership or HOD capacity, preferably in luxury hospitality or resorts.

Technical Skills:
