Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Title: Housekeeping Manager Hotel

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the complete housekeeping operations of the hotel.
• Ensure all guest rooms, common areas, corridors and public areas are maintained as per cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Allocate daily duties to housekeeping staff and monitor completion of assigned work.
• Inspect rooms before guest check-in and ensure they are properly cleaned, arranged and ready for occupancy.
• Coordinate with the Front Office team regarding room status, early check-ins, late check-outs and priority cleaning requirements.
• Manage linen, towels, toiletries, cleaning materials and housekeeping inventory.
• Maintain stock records and ensure timely purchase/replenishment of housekeeping supplies.
• Train, guide and monitor housekeeping staff for quality, grooming and service standards.
• Handle guest complaints related to cleanliness, room preparation or housekeeping service and ensure quick resolution.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for any repair or maintenance issues found in guest rooms.
• Prepare staff schedules, attendance and duty rosters.
• Ensure proper handling of lost-and-found items.
• Monitor deep-cleaning schedules and preventive cleaning of rooms and hotel areas.
• Maintain housekeeping checklists, reports and daily operational records.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment and safety procedures.
• Control wastage and housekeeping expenses while maintaining service quality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 2–5 years of experience in Hotel Housekeeping, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of room cleaning standards, linen management and hotel housekeeping operations.
• Experience in managing and supervising housekeeping staff.
• Good communication and team-management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple rooms and housekeeping priorities efficiently.
• Good attention to detail and strong cleanliness standards.
• Basic computer knowledge for reports, inventory and staff records.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments.
• Candidates with experience in hotels, serviced apartments or hospitality properties will be preferred.
• Willing to work in rotational shifts, weekends and holidays when required.
