Job summary

The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company in Haryana, India seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee refrigeration systems, safety systems, and energy management. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, incident reporting, and safety training to uphold high standards in operations.

You will ensure correct recording of logs, compliance with ISO-related records, and timely maintenance of DG sets, electrical panels, and fire safety equipment as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of COD Reports, Updating checklist, Breakdown reports, incident reports.
• Operate, Repair & maintenance of a refrigeration system
• Repair & Maintenance of the MHES, like RT, Forklift, BOPT & HPTs
• Utility & Electrical/Instrumentation maintenance of Panels, DB, UPS, Stabilizer & Batteries.
• Recording ISO files, history cards, Data logger, incoming product temperature, Compressor logbooks, & day to day electricity consumption details
• Root cause analysed of non-conformance & take corrective action
• Daily Checking & keeping healthy of Hydrant, Sprinkler system, Fire alarm, PA system & CCTV
• Periodical Checking of all fire extinguisher & refilling schedule.
• Organising periodical training related to safety & Safety recording maintaining.
• Periodical mock drills on fire, evacuation, electrocution & medical emergency.
• Maintaining safety culture on the floor, Reporting on near miss, unsafe condition & unsafe act.
• Operate, Checking & maintenance of DG Set, Earth pits conditioning, Lightening Arresters, water pumps, docks, doors & refer trucks
• Renewal of license / Certificates
• Maintain record of Diesel consumption, water consumption, electricity & other consumables, DG Maintenance Reports, Spare list.
• Ensuring of doing energy efficient activities
• Plan & activate preventive maintenance and maintain its record.
