Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day EHS inspections across the plant and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support statutory and environmental compliance including safety requirements and waste controls.
• Perform HIRA/JSA, PTW, LOTO, and ensure PPE and machine safety.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
• Investigate incidents and support internal/external audits for continual improvement.

Job description

Role

To support the EHS function in ensuring a safe and healthy workplace, statutory and environmental compliance, implementation of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 requirements, and continual improvement in EHS performance at SRPL, Savli.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day EHS inspections and monitoring across the plant; identify unsafe acts/conditions and follow up with concerned departments for timely corrective and preventive action closure.
• Support statutory and environmental compliance including applicable factory safety requirements, GPCB/Consent/CCA conditions, Water/Air and hazardous waste compliance; maintain required registers, records and reports.
• Conduct and support HIRA/JSA, risk assessments, PTW, LOTO, work at height and confined-space controls; verify PPE compliance, machine safety and other critical safety controls.
• Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks and EHS awareness/training for employees, trainees and contractors; support emergency preparedness, fire safety inspections and mock drills.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses; prepare reports, track root-cause actions and EHS MIS/KPIs; support internal/external audits and continual improvement under ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in EHS , Mechanical recognized Industrial Safety qualification as applicable.
• Degree/Diploma in Safety, Environment or Industrial Safety; certification/training in ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.

Professional Knowledge

• Knowledge of EHS legal compliance, factory safety practices, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018, risk assessment, emergency preparedness and environmental compliance.
• Knowledge of GPCB/PCB requirements, internal audits, 5S, Kaizen and IATF/customer EHS requirements.

Additional/Specific Licenses Required

• Knowledge of GPCB, Hazardous & Other Wastes Rules, Water/Air Acts and Consent/CCA compliance; HIRA/JSA, Risk Assessment, PTW, LOTO, Work at Height, Confined Space, Fire Safety, Incident Investigation, PPE and Machine Safety.
