Adler Talent Solutions in Jambusar (Vadodara) seeks a Senior Executive EHS to implement and maintain Environmental, Health and Safety systems, driving safety culture and risk management across the plant.

You will lead safety inspections, trainings, and IMS alignment (ISO 45001/14001), work with SAP, and coordinate actions with departments. 3–6 years in chemical/pharma/manufacturing EHS is expected.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on safety inspections and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Experience with HIRA, toolbox talks, and safety trainings for employees and contract workers.
  • Familiarity with STP, ETP, RO operations and waste management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular plant safety observations and safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Organize and conduct safety trainings for shop floor employees and contract workers.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance of fire protection and safety equipment ( hydrants, extinguishers, detectors, alarms ).
  • Maintain IMS compliance including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, updating documents and records.
  • Assist in incident investigations, identify root causes, and evaluate corrective actions.
  • Support environmental management activities for STP/ETP/RO and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize SAP for EHS data management, waste tracking, and audit observations, ensuring traceability.
  • Coordinate with departments for hazard ID, risk assessment, and control measures.
  • Conduct mock drills, safety audits, and emergency preparedness as scheduled.
  • Support sustainability and continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Job description

Role: The Senior Executive EHS will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Environment, Health, and Safety systems and ensuring compliance with statutory, corporate, and site-specific EHS requirements. The role involves continuous improvement of the safety culture, effective risk management, and operational excellence across EHS functions.

Location: Jambusar (Vadodara)
Education
  • B.E./B.Sc. in Environment, Chemistry, or Biochemistry etc.
  • M.E./M.Sc. in Environment or Post Diploma or Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety.
Desired Candidate
  • Hands-on experience in safety inspections, plant safety observations, HIRA, and implementation of corrective actions, safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contract workmen.
  • Good understanding of STP, ETP, RO, Waste management operations
  • PDIS or ADIS is mandatory requirement.
  • Understanding of any ERP software would be an added advantage
This role is a blend of Safety and Environment. More focus will remain on Safety.
Main Task
  • Conduct regular plant safety observations and safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices, and initiate corrective and preventive measures to strengthen the safety system.
  • Organize and conduct safety training programs to enhance safety awareness and competency of shop floor employees and contract workmen.
  • Ensure effective operation, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection and safety equipment, including hydrant systems, extinguishers, detectors, and alarms.
  • Maintain compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, and ensure timely updates of all related documents, records, and procedures.
  • Assist in incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Support environmental management activities such as monitoring and operation of STP, ETP, and RO plants, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Handle and update the Online XGN Manifest System and ensure timely submission of environmental returns and compliance reports.
  • Utilize SAP for EHS data management, waste tracking, and audit observations, ensuring accuracy and traceability of information.
  • Coordinate with various departments for hazard identification, risk assessment (HIRA), and implementation of control measures.
  • Ensure periodic mock drills, safety audits, and emergency preparedness activities are conducted as per schedule.
  • Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives within EHS performance areas.
Experience

3 - 6 years of relevant experience in EHS functions within a Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing Industry, preferably at a plant location.

  • Good knowledge of environmental systems such as STP/ETP/RO and waste management practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP.

  • Proactive approach to safety and environmental compliance.
Skills
  • Proficiency in local languages and English, both written and spoken, to facilitate effective communication with employees and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong learning agility and continuous improvement mindset.
