Job summary

Apollo Tyres Ltd in Chennai is seeking an Executive - Automation to ensure availability of GT & Curing Tyre Handling Automation systems and to maintain a safe, cost-efficient work environment. The role reports to the Engineering (Automation) Manager and operates within the Chennai Office.

Key duties include troubleshooting electrical/electronic breakdowns, CLIT activities in shifts, LOTO/PTW support, and driving 5S across zones.

Qualifications

• BE in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic preventive maintenance and automation.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI based troubleshooting and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting electrical/electronic breakdowns in Maintwiz.
• Lead CLIT activities per schedule in shifts.
• Support lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), permit-to-work (PTW) and energy isolation procedures.
• Ensure 5S in individual zones.
• Participate in Kaizen, QCC and innovation programs.

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for ensuring availability of GT & Curing Tyre Handling Automation system (THA), complying to safe work environment with skilled team and optimum cost.

Major Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Capturing of electrical /electronic breakdowns in Maintwiz
• To take up CLIT activities as per schedule in shifts
• Support lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), permit-to work (PTW), and energy isolation procedures
• Ensure 5s in individual zones
• Participation in improvement activities like Kaizen, QCC and innovation programs
