Job summary

Makeo is seeking an Accounts Receivable professional in Mumbai to manage customer billing, collections, and reconciliations. The role focuses on accurate billing, ageing analysis, and improving collection efficiency.

You will handle end-to-end invoicing, monitor outstanding balances, and support month-end AR close with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
• 36 years of relevant Accounts Receivable experience.
• Strong knowledge of billing, collections, ageing and reconciliations.
• Good Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software.
• Experience in payment gateway reconciliation will be an advantage.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customer billing and invoicing.
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting of customer transactions.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and collections.
• Prepare and analyse customer ageing reports.
• Follow up on overdue receivables and coordinate with business teams for collections.
• Perform customer ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile payment gateway settlements with customer transactions and bank receipts.
• Track customer advances, credit notes, debit notes and unidentified receipts.
• Investigate and resolve billing and collection discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing and preparation of AR schedules.
• Assist in revenue and receivables reporting.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and controls around receivables.
