Job summary

Balasore Alloys is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to manage on-site and field maintenance of heavy equipment at mine sites. The role requires hands-on experience with mining/construction equipment, the ability to read hydraulic and electrical diagrams, and proficiency with OEM diagnostic software.

The position involves shift work at mine locations, teamwork, and meticulous documentation of maintenance activities, safety compliance, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on shop-floor and field maintenance experience in mining/construction equipment.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical circuit diagrams and use OEM diagnostic software.
• Willingness to work in shifts and at mine site locations.
• Team player with discipline, documentation and reporting habits.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily preventive maintenance schedules, greasing, oil changes and scheduled service of HEMM per OEM norms.
• Attend breakdowns at the working face, carry out fault diagnosis and restore equipment in the shortest possible time.
• Maintain equipment history cards, job cards, breakdown analysis reports and daily availability/utilisation reports.
• Raise spare part indents, follow up on procurement and control workshop inventory and critical spares.
• Supervise contract mechanics, technicians and OEM service engineers at site.
• Support major overhauls, component replacements and rebuild activities.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, work permits, LOTO and DGMS requirements during all maintenance jobs.
